Repair of the retaining wall on cantonal road no. 1108 in Gunten

Morath GmbH has been in close contact with Ghelma Spezialtiefbau for months in order to jointly develop a solution for the challenging construction project to repair the retaining wall on cantonal road no. 1108 in Gunten. A total of around 300 Swiss Gewi, type: 25 and type: 32, had to be produced. The challenges lay in the short time frame, the complex construction process with many other trades, the road closure on one side only with a narrow clearance profile, the steep gradient of the road and the very high attachment points and drilling angles of the anchors. Due to the geology, these had to be produced using the cased drilling method.

Thanks to the expertise of both partners and the courage to innovate, specific customized components were developed and produced. In combination with the BB9000 drilling excavator, these met all the requirements so that the construction project could be completed successfully and on schedule.
