Renovation 380-kV Line, Pradella-La Punt (Canton of Grisons – Switzerland)
Equipped with the slope correction undercarriage and mooring winch, the BB7010 from Morath was the perfect choice for foundation reinforcement of existing power line towers on up to 45° slopes. Advantages as high movability of the TelescopicDrillingMast “TBT-A35” and the radio remote control unit FFS600-Professional are increase operation simplicity while drilling flat anchors as well as micropiles underneath and inside of steel lattice beam structure.
Project:
The current high-voltage power line between Pradella and La Punt is the bottleneck of the Swiss and European transmission network. Due to the upgrade program the import capacity from the north has been increased, the connection to the international electrical supply system (Austria, Italy) has been strengthened. Those improved energy supply from the hydroelectric power plant in the canton of Grisons. Furthermore - increased stability of the electric supply. The priority network-expansion-program “Engadin” includes expansion of the 380-kV line between Pradella and La Punt and of the switchgear in Pradella.
Scope of work; Foffa Conrad AG:
- Excavation works
- Installation of “Swiss-Gewi” anchors, using the overburden drilling system
- Establishing the connection probation and concrete works
- Sealing work of the concrete base (weirs) in the open area
- Recultivation of the construction site
