Functional principle

Geothermal energy (or geothermics) offers a particularly sustainable, zero emission, efficient and above all free source of energy for domestic heating and electricity generation. 



Since geothermal energy is dependent on neither the climate nor the time of the day or year, it is available without limitation. Through the use of a heat pump, the energy permanently stored in the ground can be used for heating or hot water. In order for this energy source to reach the surface, a probe drilling is required.

During the summer the substrate is also suitable as an ideal reservoir and can thus be used for room cooling. This allows buildings with geothermal probes, geostructures or air earth registers to be optimally air conditioned ‑ without having to use energy-intensive refrigeration machines. If both types of use, i.e. heating and cooling, are taken into account, an even more efficient and economically interesting geothermal energy solution is created.
