Various snow sheds of metal, wood and concrete prevent the development and descent of avalanches.

Roofing over avalanche-prone road sections on mountain slopes. This protects transport routes threatened by masses of snow, water and rubble. The shear forces occurring are diverted into the ground via anchors.
